With roots set deep in Telluride history, this condominium offers comfortable accommodation with a touch of the Silver Mining boom turn-of-the-century. Bedding: Queen Bed, 2 Twin Beds, and Twin pull-out. Entering this unit from the 2nd-floor interior hallway, in the entryway is a washer/dryer and the first bathroom with a shower only. Up a half-flight is the kitchen, open dining area and living room where there is a large flat-screen TV, DVD player, and a CD stereo, and fireplace for ambiance. The over-stuffed chair converts to a twin sleeper. The full kitchen is open to the rest of the room, and the dining table seats 6. Upstairs is one bedroom with a queen bed with flat screen TV and iPod/mp3 dock, and a second bedroom with two twin beds and small flat screen TV. The second bathroom is on this level, with a shower and tub, accessible from the hallway or queen bedroom. Since fall 2011, we added luxury linens and lush, thirsty towels. Unit has views of the Ski Mountain to the south. Ski storage is available in a closet in hallway. Telluride Lodge has common outdoor and indoor hot tubs and steam room built in 2010 located on the south side of the middle (400) building by the HOA office. Parking at Telluride Lodge is an outdoor lot, with some spaces available near the unit, too; parking permits required. There is a grocery store adjacent to the Lodge, and the base of Lift #7 is across the street to the south. So you have the San Miguel River, hiking, biking, fishing, and climbing all within a short walk, as well as skiing and snowboarding practically out your door. The Telluride Lodge is the only condominium complex in Telluride with open space, large grass areas perfect for summer barbeques. An outdoor hot tub beckons summer and winter. From town, you can find high-country access, 14,000-foot peaks, jeeping and 4x4 roads, and rock climbing. In town, you'll find fabulous restaurants, theatres, bars plus live music venues, as well as the museum and huge library. In the Town Park is the Festival main stage, skate park, swimming pool, playgrounds, ball fields and a secret little waterfall. Sq Ft: 1,061 Business License # 3023 A LITTLE HISTORY from the owner: Our Family started coming to Telluride in 1953 primarily to go fishing and enjoy the high country. In 1973 when the ski area and Telluride Lodge started operation, my father purchased a condo. He chose Unit 309 for the unobstructed view across the grass area and up the mountain, what is now the Coonskin Lift. As the town has grown, our unit retains a feeling of tranquility. Over the years we have updated and improved our place. The original kitchen and bathrooms have been redone, retaining much of the charm of the original space. We have enjoyed so many great times here with friends and family. It is where each child in the family has learned to ski, fly fish and appreciate history. We love the fact that we can easily walk to the lift (it’s less than 2 football fields away). We rarely use the car – the free bus stops in front of the complex, the river trail is steps away, and it’s a five minute walk to town, maybe eight to the gondola for a free ride to mountain village. The market is a two minute walk. In the early 90’s, I was lucky enough to live here for several years. Whether you come for the winter, summer or fall color season, I hope that you will share my love of this very special place.
