Cottage Profile Large bright and airy three bedroom waterfront cottage located on point of land (Bayview Point) only 3 km from Southampton. The main living area of the cottage has large west facing windows which stretch from the cottage floor to ceiling, it also has cathedral ceilings, television, satellite dish, VCR/DVD, and stereo with CD player and tape deck. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area with a table and chairs suitable to seat six. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave oven, and lots of counter and cupboard space. Also on the lower floor are two bedrooms, one containing a queen bed and the second bedroom has two 3/4 beds and a three piece bathroom. A set of stairs lead up to a second floor landing which over looks the lower level of the cottage. On this landing is a couch and chair. Leading off the landing is the master bedroom which has a cathedral ceiling and a queen bed. As previously mentioned the cottage is located on a large lot, with 300 feet frontage onto Lake Huron. There is plenty of room for kids to run and play their favorite sports. The shoreline of the property is rocky with a shallow entry. Swim shoes are recommended. Better swimming exists at the public beach in Southampton. From the shore line you get a great view of the light house at Chantry Island and you can enjoy world famous sunsets over Lake Huron. Because the property is at the end of a dead end road, it is in a quiet location well away from the hustle and bustle of town. On the other hand, it is only 3 km from a great sand beach at Southampton and 6.5 km from another at Port Elgin. Both towns offer a great variety of shopping, eating and entertaining options. There are three golf courses within a 10 minute drive. The area is great for cycling and roller blading. The shore road between Port Elgin and Southampton is a popular spot for cycling and blading. There is also the rail trail which runs between Port Elgin and Southampton to explore. MacGregor Point Provincial Park with its hiking trails and interpretive programs is only a 15 minute drive away. Additional amenities include: number of bathrooms: 1 three piece with shower, stereo with tape deck, fire pit, deck size 400 square feet, municipal water, two 3/4 length beds, electric baseboard heaters and gas furnace, cd player, one and half storey home, floor area1500 square feet, television 27", number of bedrooms: 3, ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living room, shoreline 300 feet, highspeed lite wireless internet, clothes line, beds: two queen beds.
